Makkah

Makkah, also known as Mecca, is situated in the western region of Saudi Arabia, approximately 70 kilometers inland from the Red Sea coast. It lies in the Sirat Mountains, at an elevation of about 277 meters (909 feet) above sea level. The city covers an area of around 760 square kilometers (293 square miles).
